CRITICAL PRE - PLANNING TO IDENTIFY SUITABLE PUMP/PUMPS:

THE FOLLOWING IS IMPORTANT IF WANTING THE CORRECT PUMP FROM SOLAR MAN:

NB; In terms of borehole pumps (Solar or 220 Volt) we need to know:

 

 - How deep the water lies in the borehole; from the top; (AND UP IN THE TANK). (As well as horizontal distance to pump).

 (Or if you dont know you can maybe through in a small rock to estimate the distance!).

- How many litres per day/per hour/per minute you would like to pump.

How strong the borehole is; in terms of water that can be pumped.

The location.

(Thickness of pipes etc can be calculated as well).

 

THE ABOVE INFO IS OF CRITICAL PRE PLANNING IMPORTANCE BECAUSE IE:THE HOLE COULD IE: RUN DRY..., it is also important before making quotations because the products must be identified first, with reference to all of the above.

(Also do you want to pump day/night/both?). (Our solar dc 24/36/48/72/96 v pumps can satisfy all these needs also with battery backup... as a choice)!!!

For information on battery backup on pumps and how to charge those batteries contacts us, because normally to charge those batteries a seperate controller can be used depending on the context..., with those panels or other panels..., do contact us for further information. (We also sell controller boxes seperate, please do contact us for product availability, and price, please know maximum input voltage that you need and output voltage at battery side, or do contact us). (The smallest pumps we sell are  ie: 5 meter at ie: 600 Litre a day, ie: 3. 12 volt 90 WATT panels in series for the 'startup'' wattage and the compatible voltage to start the pump, (so in this case wattage will always be 270 WATT, and depending on minimum input voltage of controller box; will depend how panels must be connected ie: parallele, amp goes up, series; volts goes up, but wattage is 270 Watt with 1 hour of sunlight! This type of prinsiple applies to pumps in general also, contact us for more, these can be used for various purpuses, but its main purpuse is for boreholes. With pumps check specifications minnimum input voltage  of controller box and wattage in order for pump to start and not too much regarding these to protect the controller box and pump! Sometimes high voltages (less amps) are better for less deep holes and more amp for deeper headheights (as seen above under Lorentz pumps), depending on the context and other factors also! Solar Man pumps are submersible (3 phase motor (360 volt); 3 wires into controller box (output AC) from pump to convert it to ie: 36 volt/, 24v....) this means pumps cannot be put directly onto batteries, it must work through controller box, (into input to power pumps) it is not service pumps, our solar pumps can charge batteries through same controller box but its not recommended, its recommended to have a seperate compatible charge controller and seperate panels or charger..., to charge the batteries full, if those same batteries are used fior ie: something else...For information on the differences and similarities between submirsable pumps working with controller boxes, different cables captyre, 4 pole/2 pole pumps-motors, submersable cables for high or low level flow pumps... where water sometimes pump from, info on windturbines running pumps, day/ meanings...do contact us! Solar Man does not sell pump pipe/sink and Solar Man does not do installation on pumps. With solar pumps plasson fittings are given; on certain special requests solar pumps could be put together with cable jointing kit; only on certain special requests not guaranteed to be in stock.
