Preferably before an accurate solar system design/quotation can be done; solar panels, charge controller, batteries, inverter etc, please ensure that you have the exact, amount of WATTh or AMPh; (because appliances wattages differ even if its the same brand); (normally these indications are written on the back of appliances in Watthr or Amphr), and please also make sure you know how long you want to use these appliances for and when day/night in order to identify a suitable system design based on the a formentioned fitting into your specific requirements because everybody doesnt consume the same amount of electricity (e.g at once) and it must be generated through alternative sources (as explained throughout this website) not through fossil feuls thats already generated. 

The above and throughout is important because solar must be generated if sun shines its not already made like cheap fossil fuels which damages the planet and the world at large;

The Refrigerators and Freezers we sell (Low Electricity Fridges and Freezers) can operate on 220 volt (Escom) and Solar Electricity, and stays cold for up to 36 hours; The Ardo Ranges!

The Refrigerators we sell consume as little as 700 watt a day;(.7KWh/), and freezers as little as 800 watt a day; (to be more specific 57 Watts an hour (per cycle)!).

They have antibacterial systems, so food stays fresh for longer.

So with these fridges and freezers they can be switched off to spare energy, helping batteries!!

The 'Solar' (NB: 220 Volt), Refrigerators that we sell will work You out: sometimes depending on the rates etc between -+ R 28.00 and -+ R 33.00 on Your electricity bill every month (also depending on the area you live etc because e.g escom fees differes across the country).

And automatical (4 matic) voltage detection!
 (With refrigerators and freezers we work in Watt not KW or KWh/ because volt X amp = Wattage).(And also to avoid confusion between hourly and daily, (or total) and the main aim is to make it easier to understand). (From this, calculation can be directed towards; there normally is a 1000 Watt in 1 KW or KWh/ not KW/h because then it refers to KW used in an hours time). (KWh/ refers to daily usage). Dishwashers; (not in stock) Tips:

Dishwasher energy consumption can be reduced by turning off the dishwasher after the final rinse and before the drying cycle. The clean dishes can then be wiped with a dry cloth. Fill the dishwasher completely before operating. Partial loads waste electricity and water. Short wash cycles, rinse-only cycles, mid-cycle turn-off, and other features are designed for energy conservation as well as convenience. Connect your dishwasher to cold water supply unless otherwise directed. Normally only one wash and one final rinse cycle requires hot water which is heated by an element in the dishwasher. The dishwasher filters must be kept clear of debris. A blocked filter reduces efficiency and wastes energy. Proper loading is important for the dishwasher to work efficiently.

Refrigerators Energy Saving Tips (box freezers not in stock):

Choose a refrigerator of a size based on the needs of your family a refrigerator operates at peak efficiency when filled. Do not overload your fridge, excessive products in your fridge will lower the quality of the food and use more electricity as much as 10-20% more for each extra product. Do not set freezing temperatures lower than necessary, it wastes as much electricity as excessive heat. Thick frost on chilling panels reduces cooling ability. If you do not have a frost-free model, defrost your refrigerator when frost is between 0,6 to 1,3 cm thick. Do not open your refrigerator door needlessly. By getting into the habit of removing and replacing several articles at once, you will reduce the loss of cold air.

Buy a washing machine, which offers a variety of water temperature settings.

• A front loading washing machine uses less water and costs less to operate even though the purchase price may be higher than a top loader.

• Use warm and cold water setting as much as possible in order to cut down on energy needed to heat the water.

Freezers (BOX freezers not in stock) Energy Saving Tips:

Freezers and refrigerators/fridges normally operate most efficiently when filled to the capacity recommended by the manufacturers. Never forget that only one-tenth of a freezer's capacity should be used for freezing of fresh food at any one time. The freezer must work harder to remove heat, and uses more power. Example, 28 litres will store 12,5 to 15 kg of frozen food and will freeze about 1,5 kg of fresh food at a time.
