It is very important to understand normally that if controller charges to 12 volt nominal dc battery system the max open dc voltage input is 22 OPEN volt; (17 Volt Under Load, under conditions of IE: less sun...), and if controller charges to ie: 24 volt DC battery nominal system the max open dc voltage will then be 44 volt OPEN CIRCUIT; WITH PEAK SUN! (Not the other way around). (See specifications for details, do contact us, our regulators normally charge 17v-12v and 44v-24v not ie: 44 volt - 12 volt, this is preferably how it must work keeping voltages closely together!).

How to know how big charge controller must be and how many energy can be generated to go through controller to charge batteries ie: 40 (Coulombs Per Second) current controller on ie: 48 system of potential difference between 2 points  in turn results in 11500 Joules per coulomb/11.5KWh/11500Wh max that can be generated, on 6h of sun; or  ie: 80 current charge controller on 24 nominal potential difference also results in more or less the same answer depending on the amount of sun and other factors also; not yet thought of. The the same methological type of calculation can be done by thaking the panel wattage devided through potential difference under load = closed circuit current; (after calculations has been made), because DC potential difference drops on battery circuit! For information on ideal distances between controller/regulator and batteries/inverter...contact us! TIP: Controllers in general to perform at peak must charge potential difference, so with this said connect low potential difference panels series, or buy high potential difference panels, just check input potential difference, contact us regarding these to fit in with your specific needs! We do not sell, charge controllers with input volt more than 150 VOLT, and we also do not sell, controllers with output more than 48 VOLT, because of a lot of benifits to clients, and generally how solar works!

(With Solar Man controllers and regulators normally the battery output wires must be connected first;(so that charge controller can pick up battery cell readings), then the input panel wires, so to bring practical and theory closer together; ie: 2 wires in at input side on conrtoller (Positive;red, Negative wire (black), then - battery, then panel wires into controler box (input); panel side, please people higher voltage of ie: 148 potential difference; (if panels are in sun and current goes through wire), can give a ''shock'', luckily it is not 220v , but please be carefull). If questions do not hesitate to contact us!. Also remember with reference to the above said keep panels in the sun at the correct angle, through controller to charge batteries, untill batteries are full on ie: 13.5 volt (on 12 volt batteries, and depending on battery make!), so remember do installations on sunny days, if you want to use energy the same day! MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracker) / sometimes reffered to as e.g Tracer Regulator-stabilizers):

Main Features And Benifits of MPPT Technologies (Maximum Power Point Tracking) Charge Controllers;

In any applications which PV module is energy source, MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) is used to correct for detecting the variations in the current-voltage characteristics of solar cells. MPPT solar charge controller is necessary for any solar power systems need to extract maximum power from PV module; it forces PV module to operate at voltage close to maximum power point to draw maximum available power. MPPT allows users to use PV module with a higher voltage output than operating voltage of battery system. For example, if the PV module has to be placed far away from charge controller and battery, its wire size must be very large to reduce voltage drop. With a MPPT (Maximum power Point Tracking) solar charge controller, users can wire PV module for 24 or 48 V (depending on charge controller and PV modules) and bring power into 12 or 24 V battery system. This means it reduces the wire size needed while retaining full output of PV module. MPPT (maximum power point tracker/tracking) solar charge controller reduces complexity of system while output of system is high efficiency.Additionally, it can be applied to use with more energy sources.
